Benelli TNT 1130 Review and Specifications.

Well I had the pleasure of taking a Benelli TNT for a test ride whilst I was down on holidays in Coffs Harbour, I turned up to at about 930 and had a good look at there range of Benelli's especially the TNT Caf Racer (as that was what I went to look at). After the salesman had finished his spiel on the Caf Racer it was time for a ride I got a standard TNT, while she was sitting there warming up I thought it sounded a bit rough and rattly but was assured this is normal so I threw a leg over her and stood it up the thing felt like a 600 or even lighter. I managed to take of with out making a fool of myself :ridehorse: and headed straight down the Hwy looking for some corners, the roads were damp but not to bad I gave her a big twist in second heading down the on ramp and nearly got hit in the head by the tank I settled in to a cruise around 110 and found the sitting position quite upright and comfortable but not enough weight on the bars (the standard TNT does not have Clip-on Like the Caf Racer on which I felt was a better position for me) although the thing is naked the wind was not that bad with the lil fly screen doing a good job, while heading down the Hwy I was playing with the dash which is changed Via the starter button which was a bit unnerving at first but I soon got used to it, it had all the functions you would expect on any modern bike except a gear indicator. OK I got to some corners after my little Hwy trip and was impressed after the 1st corner it tips in with ease and holds a line with out any problem at all (and this is the standard one) making my Blade feel like a truck in contrast to the TNT, although I felt quicker on the Blade because you just don ' t feel like your pushing as hard on the TNT. The triple pulls hard and cleanly from very low revs with a brilliant sound coming from her. It was quite easy to hustle along at a good pace with only the larger bumps upsetting it, I think a steering damper would help here. The Rambo brakes pull the bike up with good feel and power but I did think they would have been better. : don ' t know:
On my way back to the bike shop I stopped in to one of my mates places who does not ride to show him and he promptly told me it was Ugly and looked Evil, well I guess some people just have no taste and I can live with the Evil (he later told me it sounded awesome when I gave it a bit leaving). I got back to the Bike shop after about an hour and a half of riding still not sore and a huge grin on my face.
This bike may not be the quickest thing around but I don't think that was the Idea behind it, I feel it was made to be FUN which it does with ease as I was grinning like a Looney the whole time I was on it and even now just thinking about it.
Do I think it is worth the $23000 price tag? Well I ordered a Caf Racer so I guess so.

Ok first things first, I only like sport bikes. Anything else without full fairing is just... uncomplete. Like a car with just the frame, engine and seats.

Well anyway you may like it or not, this bike leaves no one without impression. The look is so uncommun, even little childs see it as a ´have to have´ toy. If you are liek me and don´t like to have the same as everyone, just get this baby. Parked side by side with other exclusive bikes (like Agusta MV4 and even a Boxer VB1), you´re sure to get the attention on you; ah well on your bike... lol.

Now for the fact you have to know about. If you read the numbers, this bike is old when looking at chronos and numbers. Less powerfull, heavier...

But if you you pay attention on these things; geeze you are way out of track! For my part I don´t pretend to be a pro pilot, and even on a 600 trail I couldn´t get the most out of it. My limits are just under those of the bikes. And this is applicable for about everyone also. So speaking about chronos is so much childish and testosteron full... Nah this bike, like the MV agusta, is about sensations. Same thing that goes for the lotus elise which I had the pleasure to own also. This baby will give you so much sensation, you´ll want to sleep with it like a kid with his pet. Fun is everything that count if you don´t do serious competition. And this bike is all about that. Like any of these italian bikes out there. That´s the fact. Try riding an Agusta, a 999 Ducati or this baby and you´ll understand. I always change my cars and bikes for new one. But my tornado; NEVER. I feel like micheal jackson (ok any superstar then) when I ride on it. Everyone I meet come ad talk to me. Bikers and non-bikers alike. Kids literally pull their parents to me while the adults are trying to look discretly (I saw you folks, don´t act like you don´t stare, YOU DO!). This is fun. A little annoying at the beginning, but definitly fun after you get use to it. And when you have enough, vroom, you turn the wrist and up for more unequalled sensations....(by: Sylvain Lafleur)

Benelli TNT Sport Review and Specifications.

The TnT Sport has further improved its performance! New up-grading obtain higher power and torque peak. With the sport version more exclusive than ever, the TnT takes another step ahead.

New colours and even more exclusive components for the TNT Sport, inspired by the super bike motorcycles for the most enthusiastic sports riders.

For stability and manageability in every road condition and for more precise steering, the Benelli technicians have worked long and hard on the suspension setting: up front, the Marzocchi fork with reversed, 50 mm rods, adjustable in spring compression, extension and preload.

The settings provide a more progressive action of the shock absorber to guarantee safer, more stable riding when changing directions, both on the road and on the track.

The winning point of the new TNT Sport is the perfect balance during braking: on this version the powerful Brembo system mounts the double floating disk, 320 mm, at the front with 4 piston radial calliper to always provide an optimal response during braking.

Another innovation, unique in the universal motorcycling panorama, which we find on all of the TNT 2005 year models is the possibility of modifying motor functions by simply pressing a lighted button on the dash support.

The engine control unit can be switched between free power and controlled power for better control of the motorcycle in poor traction conditions. This also guarantees a decrease in fuel consumption of 10-20% depending on driving style and on the road.

The free power configuration makes it possible to fully enjoy the torque features and engine power, while the controlled power configuration makes it possible to enjoy using the bike easily in the city, in two, even on asphalt with poor traction without stress.

The TNT Sport offers the perfect combination of manoeuvrability and brilliant engine performance with carefully designed details and prestige components to satisfy even the most demanding biker.
